De Slagmolen closes

More than 25 cultural associations in Genk are left without a home now that Renaat Huygen is closing the Slagmolen. Since 1966, the watermill had been converted into a cosy traditional pub. First with his father and later with his wife Lieve, Renaat Huygen welcomed not only thirsty visitors but also choirs, photography clubs and Flemish associations.
